A 21-year-old man of Chikankata District attempted to take his own life after being served insufficient relish to have with nshima. Southern Province Police Commanding Officer Moono Namalongo confirmed the incident, identifying the man as Nature Musompanyika of Upper Kaleya Settlement under Chief Mwenda. Namalongo said Musompanyika demanded for nshima, but proceeded to confront his mother after noticing that the relish was not enough.
