GLOBAL Fund Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) Chairperson Bishop Joshua Banda says Zambia has received approximately US$2 billion in cumulative disbursements from Global Fund since 2002. Meanwhile, acting Minister of Health Cornelius Mweetwa says the procurement of 31 motor vehicles for provincial and district health offices signifies a strategic investment in strengthening the operational capacity of the country’s health system. Speaking during the official handover of the vehicles, Monday, Bishop Banda said Global Fund’s investment in Zambia had been transformative, impacting antiretroviral therapy coverage and reducing the malaria burden.
