MONGU Town Clerk Oliver Muuka says the Mongu Municipal Council may in future consider taking legal action against CDF loan defaulters if ongoing engagement efforts to recover the funds fail. Since the inception of the enhanced Constituency Development Fund (CDF) in 2022, a total of K27,530,458.04 has been disbursed as loans in Nalikwanda and Mongu Central constituencies, benefiting 240 individuals. However, only a small number of beneficiaries have repaid the loans. On December 22, 2025, the Council raised concern over continued defaults by beneficiaries of the CDF empowerment loans despite repeated reminders.
