THE National Assembly has resolved to extend sittings from May 4 to May 12, inclusive of Saturday and Sunday, commencing at 10:00 hours daily until business is concluded. Last week, Vice-President Mutale Nalumango announced that the House would consider 74 Bills from May 4 to May 12 before Parliament is adjourned sine die. Acting Clerk of the National Assembly, Loveness Mayaka, says the extended sittings have been necessitated in order to conclude the large volume of outstanding business before the Assembly adjourns sine die.
