FIRST of all, we congratulate the UPND and President Hakainde Hichilema for winning the August 13 general elections and securing another mandate to govern this country. We say congratulations despite the fact that this election was not without clearly established controversies. When we saw how chaotic the UPND parliamentary adoption process became, to the extent that two candidates could emerge with genuine adoption certificates for the same constituency and the same parliamentary seat, we thought we had seen the worst that a democratic process could offer.
