Lafarge Zambia Plc has announced the resignation of managing director Vincent Bouckaert with immediate effect.
In a statement issued via sponsoring broker, Stockbrokers Zambia Limited, Bouckaert resigned from his position effective December 5, 2018, with chief financial officer Raphael Chipoma replacing him in an acting capacity.
“In accordance with Section 3.59 of the Lusaka Securities Exchange Listings requirements, the board of directors of Lafarge Zambia Plc wishes to announce the departure of the managing director and CEO, Mr. Vincent Bouckaert from Lafarge Zambia Plc with effect from 5th December, 2018,” read the statement released, Wednesday.
“In this regard, the board also wishes to announce the appointment of Mr. Raphael Chipoma, the CFO, as acting managing director and CEO with effect from 5th December, 2018, until further notice. The board would like to thank Mr. Bouckaert for his service rendered to the company.
Bouckaert succeeded Frenchman, Emmanuel Rigaux, the former Lafarge managing director, who stepped down in August, 2016, after having served in that capacity since August, 2013.
