ECONOMIST Trevor Hambayi says the rise in the inflation rate is due to the fact that the country has no economic fundamentals to hold down. ZAMSATS Statistician General Mulenga Musepa announced on Thursday that the annual inflation rate for April 2023 had increased to 10.2 percent from the 9.9 percent recorded in March 2023. He attributed the upward adjustment in inflation to an increase in prices of selected non-food items.
