THE annual inflation for June 2024 has increased to 15.2 percent from 14.7 percent recorded in May 2024. The Zambia Statistics Agency (ZamStats) has also revealed that between June 2023 and June 2024, the national average price of a 25kg bag of Breakfast Mealie Meal increased from K204.06 to K331.23, while Roller Mealie Meal increased from K165.59 to K284.35. During a media briefing, Thursday, ZamStats Statistician General Goodson Sinyenga attributed the increase in inflation to price movements in both food and non-food items.
