A Chinese national has sued a Lusaka businessman in the Lusaka High Court for swindling him of K130,000 on pretext that he could secure a road contract for him when in fact not.
Zhang Wei is demanding for the said money from Brian Chisanga with interest.
According to a statement of claim, the two came to an agreement on July 3, 2015 when Zhang promised to pay Chisanga a commission of K260,000 if he managed to secure a road contract.
Zhang made a down payment of K130,000 to Chisanga with a condition that it would be returned if the deal failed.
He lamented that although Chisanga had not complied with the terms of agreement, he had refused to return the money despite several reminders.
Zhang is now seeking a refund of the K130,000, interest and any other relief the court might deem fit.
