A 27-year-old doctor of Lusaka’s Chawama compound has been dragged to court for obtaining seven suits from a businessman at COMESA market by falsely pretending that he would buy them when in fact not.
This is in a matter Brian Musonda is facing two of obtaining goods by false pretenses.
In the first count, it is alleged that between July 1 and October 15, 2017 with intent to defraud, Musonda did obtain seven suits, a shirt and a short altogether valued at K3,000 the property of Victor Siatembo by falsely pretending that he would buy them when in fact not.
In the second count, allegations are that Musonda, between August 26 and October 14, 2017, with intent to defraud, got K12,900 cash the property of Siatembo by falsely pretending that he had a car for sale when in fact not.
The doctor is yet to take plea before Lusaka magistrate Mwaka Mikalile.
