AN administrator in the estate of the late musician David Phiri, popularly known as “Daev Zambia”, has dragged XYZ Entertainment Limited to the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court seeking payment of monies so far paid to the music record label by companies that had running advertisement contracts with the deceased.
Martha Phiri, suing in her capacity as an administrator in the estate of the late musician, also wants immediate release of the record label contract signed between XYZ Entertainment Limited and the deceased.
She also wants immediate release of music projects and other contracts signed by the late David Phiri, damages caused by the defendant’s actions, costs of the action and any other relief the Court may deem fit.
The matter was supposed to come up, Thursday morning, before Lusaka Magistrate Judith Chiyayika.
Daev was a musician under XYZ Entertainment, which he joined in 2016.
He, however, passed away in September, last year, in a road accident, which claimed four others on the Chirundu – Kafue Road.
