THE Lusaka High Court has sentenced a former teacher of Nyumba Yanga Secondary School to death by hanging for shooting dead his ex-wife in February 2019 after she went to collect a wardrobe. Lusaka High Court judge Pixie Yangailo has also sentenced Kenneth Makina to 25 years imprisonment with hard labour for causing grievous bodily harm to his former landlord Dr Eustone Kapotwe, whom he shot in the thigh. Makina was in this matter charged with two counts of murder and acts intending to cause grievous bodily harm, which charges he denied.
