MFUWE UPND losing parliamentary candidate Newton Ng’uni has challenged the High Court’s decision to uphold the election of PF’s Maureen Mabonga as Mfuwe member of parliament. And GBM’s daughter Sibongile Mwamba has also challenged the nullification of her seat by the High Court in the Constitutional Court. According to a memorandum of appeal filed in the Constitutional Court, Ng’uni argued that the court erred in both law and fact when it dismissed the petition despite the fact that all the petitioner’s witnesses linked Mabonga to the electoral offences and misconduct.
