VEDANTA Resources Holdings Limited has opposed an application by Konkola Copper Mines to be joined as a respondent to a case in which Vedanta has sought the court’s permission to challenge acting Official Receiver Celine Nair’s decision to replace Milingo Lungu as KCM Provisional Liquidator. Vedanta argues that KCM’s application for joinder is premature and misconceived as the court has not yet granted it (Vedanta), permission to apply for judicial review. Vedanta adds that there are, therefore, no proceedings yet to which the intended party can seek to be heard.
