ZESCO United CEO Richard Mulenga has confirmed that Mamelodi Sundowns forward Lameck Banda will spend another season at the defending league champions club after reaching an agreement with Sundowns.
Mulenga in an interview with Goal Diggers! said ZESCO United would continue to develop Banda for another season until their agreement sends him back to Sundowns.
“We reached an agreement that allows us to keep and develop Lameck for one more season and he would go back to Sundowns when time is due. As of now he is training with Sundowns although he will play for us. This 2018 season has been amazing for him,” Mulenga said.
Banda had a successful trial with the Tshwane giants last year before returning to his homeland.
And Mulenga also revealed that ZESCO was eyeing Power Dynamos midfielder Linos Makwaza Jr saying talks to get him were still in the pipeline.
“Linos is our target from Power Dynamos but we have not finalized anything yet. Talks with his club are in the pipeline,” said Mulenga.
