PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has thanked Ndola based rally driver Leroy Gomes for flying the Zambian flag after winning the African Rally Championship (ARC) at the weekend during the Sarago Zambia International Rally. Gomes, navigated by wife Urshlla was crowned ARC champion at the Sarago International Rally championship after two days of racing, posting a time of two hours 22 minutes and 21 seconds. The ARC was reclaimed after nine years from the time Jassy Singh last won it in 2013 to make history of being the youngest driver to win the title. The Head of state said the victory by Leroy Gomes could not have come at a better time than now when the country was celebrating its 58th independence....
