ZAMBIA suffered a humiliating 3-0 defeat against South Africa to be eliminated in the quarter-finals at the ongoing 2023 Badminton Confederation of Africa (BCA) All Africa Mixed team championship in Johannesburg. This was Zambia’s second defeat having suffered another humiliating loss at the hands of Egypt in the previous game. Zambia started the first game with a defeat after Jarred Elliott partnered with Amy Ackerma to edge the pair of Chongo Mulenga and Evelyn Siamupangila 21-7, 21-12 in the mixed doubles to give South Africa a 1-0 lead.
