THE Zambia Ladies Open Chess Tournament swings into action this morning with over 100 jostling for the top prizes at the Fairview Hotel. A three-day prestigious event with a budget of K70,000 prize money will see the winner pocket K10,000 and has attracted 12 foreign entries. Chess Federation of Zambia (CFZ) president Leslie Chikuse said all was set for the prestigious tournament aimed at encouraging women’s participation in the sport.
