A FAMILIAR story resurfaced over the last four days on the golf course when Zambian golfers yet again failed to meet the grade when they took part at the just-ended Zanaco Masters at Lusaka Golf Club. The Zanaco Masters marked local golf’s return to the major Africa events calendar for the first time in over three years after the post-COVID-19 era. Out of the 22 locals who included six amateurs, only one golfer made the final cut on Friday in the shape of Sydney Wemba. Local big names Madalisto Muthiya, Dayne Moore, and Patrick Mwendapole, who have all enjoyed top-five finishes at varying periods in the flagship Zambia Golf Open Championship, all failed to produce results at the Zanaco Masters....
