FORMER women’s national team skipper Kabange Mupopo has returned to the Copper Queens setup after making Coach Bruce Mwape’s 30-member provisional squad preparing for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games qualifiers against Ghana. Mupopo, who is also a runner, last featured for the Copper Queens in 2014 before deciding to focus on her athletics career at the expense of football. She went on to win a gold medal in the 400m race at the 2015 All-Africa Games, but now returns to the women’s national team setup for the first time in nine years.
