Zambian singer-songwriter and mental health advocate Naimah says it’s never been easy to market her music, and that’s because she refuses to be boxed into a single genre. Her songs blend English, local languages such as Nyanja and Bemba, and even French, drawing from multiple musical influences. “In this industry, people want to put you in a box,” she told Diggers Lite. “They’ll say you’re a Zambian afropop artiste or dancehall artiste.
