TRANSPARENCY International Zambia (TIZ) executive director Maurice Nyambe says the failure by the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) to fully enforce the provisions of the Electoral Code of Conduct contributed to the high number of election petitions, which has resulted in the nullification of some PF parliamentary seats. On Monday, the Kasama High Court nullified former transport and communications minister Mutotwe Kafwaya’s Lunte seat, the Chinsali High Court nullified Nakonde PF MP Lukas Simumba’s seat, while the High Court in Ndola nullified the election of Allen Banda as PF Chimwemwe MP.
