THE Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has heard that the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock continued to use an expired contract and paid K1,631,884 for the construction of a livestock slaughter facility in Kasama District which remains incomplete, 55 months after construction deadline. On September 20, 2016, the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock signed a contract with Lamasat International Limited for the construction of a livestock slaughter facility in Kasama District of Northern Province at a contract sum of K2,070,035 VAT exclusive with a delivery period of 18 weeks commencing October 27, 2016 to March 15, 2017.
