PF media director Antonio Mwanza says there is need for government to cancel tax holidays given to the mines if the country is to greatly benefit from mining sector. In an interview, Wednesday, Mwanza said there was urgent need to reform the entire mining tax regime and review the tax refund system in order to stop the country from being short-changed by the mines. “The real benefits to the Zambian people from the mines has been very minimal largely due to the fact that all the mines are essentially owned by foreigners.
