PRESIDENTIAL Spokesperson Anthony Bwalya says President Hakainde Hichilema is not thinking about the 2026 general elections because he is preoccupied with actualising the commitments made during campaigns. In its latest report, the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) predicted that President Hichilema will emerge victorious in the 2026 general elections if he oversees the country’s return to debt stability without severe austerity measures.
