FORMER Minister of Education Geoffrey Lungwangwa says it’s extreme short-sightedness for the teachers union to call for the removal of History and Religious Education from the school curriculum. Recently, Professional Teachers Union of Zambia Chairperson for North-Western Province Mwepu Kakunta called for the removal of the two subjects from the school curriculum, arguing that they did not add to the development of the country.
