MINISTRY of Local Government Permanent Secretary for Technical Services Nicholas Phiri says government had disbursed 100 percent of the CDF to all local authorities as of December last year. And Phiri says his ministry delegated the power to approve CDF applications to provincial local government offices as a way of cutting down on bureaucracy in the approval process. Speaking during a media briefing yesterday, Phiri said the ministry approved over K3, 256 community projects for implementation in all Constituencies. “As of December last year, 100 percent of the CDF had been disbursed to all the 116 local government authorities representing 156 constituencies in Zambia.
