THE Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency (ZAMMSA) says the stolen medical equipment worth K1.6 million was not kept at its warehouse as earlier indicated but at an offsite warehouse. Yesterday, ZAMMSA Board Chairperson Dr Anna Chifungula disclosed in a statement that medical equipment worth K1.6 million had been stolen from a ZAMMSA warehouse in Lusaka. Dr Chifungula said this was the second break-in that had occurred at the warehouse, the first one being in March 2022 when equipment valued over K1 million was stolen.
