FORMER ministry of information permanent secretary Amos Malupenga has welcomed the launch of a media pure self-regulation mechanism but has urged journalists to reach a “pure” consensus over the matter. Last week, the Media Association for Pure Self-Regulation said it had adopted a code of ethics and a draft constitution to form part of the self regulatory mechanism. Association Chairperson Kennedy Mambwe said the code of ethics and the draft constitution were developed after various consultative meetings.
