MINISTRY of Local Government Permanent Secretary for Technical Services Nicholas Phiri has confirmed that government is in receipt of Chief Chikwanda’s suspension letter but insists that it will not interfere in traditional leaders’ affairs. Last week, Senior Chief Nkula said the Bemba Royal Establishment was concerned about government’s actions of engaging Chief Chikwanda concerning the discovered gold deposits in Mpika district when he was suspended for insubordination.
