PHARMACIST Jerome Kanyika has attributed the issue of drug shortages in health facilities to what he terms as an  “incompetent ZAMMSA Board”. In an interview, Kanyika said the country would still experience drug shortages for as long as the current Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency (ZAMMSA) Board remains in place. “So that is very true we have challenges of drugs and we need ZAMMSA to rise to the occasion because last year they were given 3.4 billion, how have they used that 3.4 billion?
