ACTING chief government spokesperson Makozo Chikote says people are abusing the democracy which President Hakainde Hichilema has accorded Zambians. Commenting on Archbishop Telesphore Mpundu’s appeal to LAZ, the Church, Civil Society and Diplomatic Corps to take interest in the “creeping dictatorial tendencies” of the new dawn government, Chikote said people were actually misusing their freedoms. “When you’re in government, you allow other stakeholders to check what the government is doing. That is allowed in a democratic country.
