ZAMMSA says the drug expiries cited in the latest Auditor General’s report are largely attributed to the COVID-19 medical supplies. ZAMMSA Director General Victor Nyasulu says primary healthcare is in very good shape because there is a reduction in complaints of people at public hospitals being issued prescriptions to buy medicines. Speaking when he featured on Diamond TV, Tuesday, Nyasulu said the Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency had not exceeded five percent drug expiration rate between 2021 and 2022. “Wrong medicines and expiries are an integral part of the healthcare supply chain, just like in any other space.
