THE Zambia Police Service has rubbished the allegations of attempted extortion made by two Indian businessmen against Deputy Commissioner of Police Mubita Nawa. The police service has described the claims as an attempt to tarnish Nawa’s reputation ahead of the INTERPOL Secretary General elections. The Guardian News and Media Limited reported that Nawa, who is on shortlist for top Interpol job, had been accused of involvement in an attempted extortion in 2022.
