USAID Deputy Administrator for policy and programming Isobel Coleman has announced that the United States, through USAID, intends to provide $67 million towards the current drought response to enhance long-term food security and build resilience. And Coleman says USAID has committed $20 million as an immediate assistance towards the drought crisis. Meanwhile, Agriculture Minister Mtolo Phiri says government will next year implement the use of the electronic voucher system to distribute farming inputs to farmers in all districts.
