THE Human Rights Commission (HRC) has urged government to take precautionary measures to prevent human rights violations amidst the reported presence of aflatoxins in maize products on the Zambian market. In a statement, HRC Chairperson Dr Pamela Sambo said government’s confirmation of the presence of aflatoxins in maize-related products and animal feed was a matter of serious public concern.
