A 20-YEAR-OLD illegal miner has died after being beaten by his colleague while conducting mining activities at Luanshya Mine Pit 7. Luckson Sikaonga of Luanshya’s Mpatamato township is reported to have died after a fight with a 17-year-old suspect. Copperbelt Police Commissioner Peacewell Mweemba disclosed that the suspect has since been arrested after the matter was reported to the Mpatamato police station by the deceased’s father, Reuben Sikaonga.
