THE Transparency International Zambia’s Elections and Money Report has revealed that most Members of Parliament would support regulation and reforms on campaign financing in Zambia. And acting TIZ Executive Director Raymond Mutale has noted that political parties are very uncomfortable with disclosing their sources of funding. On the other hand, the Electoral Commission of Zambia says the flow of financial resources into the political arena can distort the democratic process and perpetuate inequality if not carefully managed.
