THE United Nations has refuted reports that Zambia has been blacklisted by the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) for failure to uphold human rights standards. And government says Zambia intends to vie for a seat on the United Nations Human Rights Council once again, at the UNGA elections in 2026 under the African State’s Region Quota for SADC. Yesterday, the Daily Nation Newspaper reported that UN had sanctioned Zambia for human rights violations.
