THE United States Embassy in Zambia has expressed concern over the environmental damage and threat to public health caused by the recent Sino Metals tailings dam failure. In a Facebook post, the Embassy stated that due to the water contamination in Kitwe, American Corner CBU had been closed until further notice. “The U.S. Embassy is concerned by the extent of environmental damage and threat to public health caused by the recent Sino Metals tailings dam failure.
