THE Zambia Environmental Management Agency (ZEMA) has ordered all individuals and companies engaged in unauthorised mining activities in Hippo Pool area of Chingola to stop immediately. ZEMA Corporate Affairs Manager, Ruth Kamwi, said the agency conducted inspections in the area and discovered significant disturbances to the water course, increased turbidity, and potential impacts on water quality.
