ANSWERING to questions from journalists who wanted to know if it was true that the government awarded a fuel supply contract to Agro-Fuel without following tender procedure, the Ministry of Energy said a tender has been floated now, inviting companies that are interested to take part in the bidding process. At the same time, the ministry insisted that the decision to cancel the fuel supply contract awarded to Devon Oil was done in order to avert a crisis. The response to the tender question was a protracted answer to the admission that Agro Fuel was single-sourced.
