MINISTRY of Local Government and Rural Development Permanent Secretary Maambo Hamaundu has urged citizens to avoid buying meat from unlicenced vendors. Meanwhile, Hamaundu says government will not condone anyone setting up unplanned structures. On Monday, the Veterinary Association of Zambia (VAZ) raised concerns over the sale of dog meat disguised as goat meat. VAZ president Malcom Chiyoba called on government to curb this illegal sale of dog meat, especially at drinking places.
