ZAMMSA says it acknowledges the delay in the delivery of 156 ambulances ordered from Ace Pharmaceuticals and Aqueous Investments, with only 11 delivered so far. The agency says all the156 ambulances were to be delivered by December 31, 2024, but due to unforeseen supplier issues, the suppliers have requested a contract extension, resulting in the current delay. Last Friday, the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) heard how the Ministry of Health and ZAMMSA procured 156 ambulances worth K336,173,760 but only 11 had been delivered.
