THE Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) has intercepted a shipment containing 46,620 pairs of slippers and 8,280 pairs of shoes, which were falsely declared as shoe soles, glue and shoe heels. In a statement, Tuesday, ZRA Corporate Communications Manager Oliver Nzala said Dronewave Investments Limited’s attempt to evade customs duties through false declarations, resulted in a revenue loss of K215,000 for government. “In a recent operation, the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) has intercepted a fraudulent shipment declared as containing shoe soles, glue, and shoe heels.
