HEALTH Minister Dr Elijah Muchima has revealed that the country has recorded 174 cumulative cholera cases, with two deaths, as of September 17. Giving an update on the cholera situation in the country, Thursday, Dr Muchima said a total of 156 patients had been discharged, while 16 remained under admission in treatment centres in Mpulungu, Nsama and Mbala Districts. “As of yesterday, 17th September, 2025, Zambia has recorded a cumulative total of 174 cases of cholera, with two deaths, giving a case fatality rate of 1.1 percent.
