THE Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has clarified that it has set April 15, 2026, as the commencement date for payments of presidential nomination fees for aspiring candidates who wish to have their supporters pre-processed in provincial centres. ECZ Chief Electoral Officer Brown Kasaro says the move is an administrative measure intended to reduce the cost for the aspiring presidential candidates to transport all the 1,000 supporters to Lusaka.
