THE Police have recorded a total of 9,772 road traffic accidents country wide in the first quarter of 2026. In a statement, Wednesday, Zambia Police Public Relations Officer Godfrey Chilabi stated that 681 fatalities were recorded in the period under review. “During the first quarter of 2026, covering the period from January 1 to March 31, the Zambia Police Service recorded a total of 9,772 road traffic accidents countrywide.
