THE National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ) has commended two Zambian wrestlers, Gilbert Mwamba and Martine Jere, for representing the country at the African Wrestling Championship held in Egypt from 27th April to 4th May. In a statement published on the Facebook Page, NOCZ Secretary Genera Boniface Kambikambi, expressed happiness that, despite the strong competition at the championship, the Zambian athletes demonstrated great determination and resilience throughout the tournament. He highlighted that Mwamba’s match victory stood out as a positive achievement for the team and a clear sign of progress.
