THE Lusaka City Council says grants worth K2.7 million have been disbursed to 142 cooperatives and community groups in Chawama Constituency under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) empowerment programme. The beneficiaries have expressed gratitude to government for the support and pledged that the funds would be used responsibly. According to a statement issued by the council, Director of Local Government Administration Ackson Habanji described the enhanced CDF as one of government’s most transformative initiatives aimed at taking development directly to the people.
